The Technical Committee on Standardization in the Field of Labour (AZSTAND/TK21), chaired by the State Labour Inspectorate Service under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population, is developing 55 more national standards related to occupational safety.
Over the past year and a half, 115 national standards prepared by the Committee have been approved as state standards by the Azerbaijan Institute of Standardization, bringing the total number of approved national standards to more than 170.
These standards are being developed in accordance with the requirements of International Labour Organization Convention No. 155 on Occupational Safety and Health.
The aim is to ensure healthy working conditions in workplaces, organize working conditions in line with modern requirements, improve occupational safety regulations, and align them with international practices.
