The newly established Nakhchivan Regional DOST Centre has already provided services to nearly 300 citizens during its first days of operation.
Citizens have mainly applied regarding pensions and benefits, social services, participation in active employment programmes, disability and other matters. In accordance with the DOST concept, they have been provided with services in various social areas based on the “one-stop shop” principle, in a modern, transparent and efficient manner.
The Centre, which was inaugurated on August 11 in the presence of President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, also provides services related to the medical and social assessment of persons with disabilities, as well as the processing of referrals for the provision of rehabilitation services and assistive devices, alongside other social services.
The Centre provides 164 social services in a single location and employs 117 staff members and 50 volunteers. On average, it is expected to receive 500–600 citizens per day.
As with other DOST centres, the Nakhchivan Regional DOST Centre provides services to citizens without registration restrictions. This once again confirms that the Centre is the nearest, most accessible and efficient social services point for every citizen, regardless of where they are registered.
In the near future, DOST reception offices will also be established in all districts of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
