In social service institutions for children without parental care, orphanages, boarding schools, and the Children's Psychoneurological Center, 22 disabled children have been identified as adoptable children by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.
The Ministry's "Children deprived of parental care, foster family and adoption" component contained information about the children.
Adoptable children have specific development plans created for them. Individual development plans were created with the child's age, health, preferences, interests, abilities, and other features in mind.
It should be noted that a monthly allowance of 600 manats is provided for a child with a disability who is adopted from social service institutions for children deprived of parental care.
In addition to this allowance, additional benefits mentioned below given depending on child's bodily functions:
- If it is 81-100 percent - 270 AZN allowance, 200 AZN benefit (300 AZN in case of visual disability) and 100 AZN benefit for caring for that child.
- 220 manat allowance and 100 manat benefit for childcare in case of 61-80 percent,
- In case of 31-60 percent, 150 manat allowance and 100 manat benefit for child care
Therefore, the total monthly social payment for adopting a disabled child from social service institutions for children without parental care is 1170 manats if the child's disability index is between 81 and 100 percent (1270 manats if the disability is related to visual impairment), 920 manats if the child's disability is between 61 and 80 percent, and 850 manats if the child's disability is between 31 and 60 percent.
