The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population has developed and approved up to 1400 professional and qualification standards in the last five years, including 70 in recent months.
The process is currently ongoing, and it is planned to develop and approve an additional 230 standards by the end of this year.
The approved standards are posted in the “Register of Professional and Qualification Standards” on the Ministry’s e-sosial.az portal.
Professional standards include the content of the work that an employee must perform in a specific professional field, the minimum requirements for working conditions, and the qualification standard includes the required competencies, training results and assessment criteria for qualifications.
These standards are the main basis for training personnel in accordance with the requirements of the labour market, improving the quality of the workforce and adapting it to international standards.
