Based on projects implemented by order of the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, 37 day care centres for children are currently operating in various regions of the country.

These centres are located in the cities of Sumgayit, Ganja, Mingachevir, Shirvan and Naftalan, as well as in the districts of Absheron, Agstafa, Khachmaz, Hajigabul, Tovuz, Gakh, Beylagan, Guba, Zagatala, Goygol, Barda, Aghdam, Yevlakh, Gabala, Ismayilli, Ujar, Sheki, Aghjabadi, Goranboy, Lankaran, Agdash, Jalilabad, Yardimli, Masalli, Agsu, Gobustan, Samukh, Salyan, Gusar, Sabirabad, Shamkir and Goychay.

More than 1.1 thousand children from vulnerable groups, including children with disabilities, benefit from these centres. Comprehensive services are provided for their psychological rehabilitation, habilitation, educational development, as well as family support and awareness-raising activities for families.

In addition, various clubs and development programmes help improve children's self-care skills, social abilities and creative potential.

The activities of the day care centres aim to prevent children from being placed in state childcare institutions, support their upbringing within a family environment, and expand access to essential social services for families facing difficult life circumstances.
