According to a law adopted in July 2021, if a person is reassigned disability status within six months after the expiry of their previous disability term, the disability status is formalized starting from the date the previous disability period ended.

The person is also provided with social payments for the relevant interim period. Over the past period, more than 60 thousand individuals have benefited from these payments.

A total of AZN 37.1 million has been paid to them for the period from the expiration of the previous disability term until the reassignment of disability status.
