Over the past period, 7 DOST centers have been opened, and DOST services have been provided for over 3,5 million applications
Six years ago, on May 9, 2019, the DOST Agency and the first DOST center under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population were inaugurated with the participation of President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva.
The DOST concept, initiated by First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva, enables the provision of 161 services in areas such as labour, employment, social protection and security, disability, rehabilitation, and more, through a unified platform, a single-window system, transparently and efficiently, based on the principles of citizen satisfaction and convenience.
So far, 7 DOST centers have been opened in Baku, Absheron, and Barda, as well as the Shusha DOST branch and the first "Smart DOST" service station in Agali village, Zangilan.
During the past period, over 3,5 million citizens have been served at DOST centers, with a citizen satisfaction rate of 98,5%.
Efforts to expand the DOST infrastructure nationwide are continuing. This year, a Regional DOST Center will also be opened in Nakhchivan. In addition, work is underway to establish DOST service infrastructure in Guba, Sabirabad, Sumgayit, Ganja, and Masalli.
The DOST model, a new brand of Azerbaijan, has also been highly appreciated internationally. Over the past period, it has received more than 60 international awards, including over 10 "Good Practice for Europe" awards.
Additionally, DOST centers were recognized as one of Azerbaijan’s three advanced reforms in the "EU Business Environment Report 2021," and the DOST service model was acknowledged by the UN as "Innovative Public Service Solutions." The number of countries interested in studying and applying the DOST experience is steadily increasing.
The "Voluntary DOST" program plays a significant role in the expansion of the volunteer movement in our country. Over the past period, more than 6000 volunteers have participated in the program.
