Social indicators for the first half of the year
The State Medical-Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population provided 69 thousand rehabilitation aids to persons with disabilities in the first half of this year.
More than 4,5 thousand of them were wheelchairs (including 44 motorized wheelchairs), 1,3 thousand lower and upper limb prostheses, 3,3 thousand canes, underarm and elbow crutches.
Also, 5,1 thousand pairs of prosthetics and orthopedic shoes, 346 hearing aids, 285 corsets, and other rehabilitation equipment were provided to persons with disabilities.
In the first 6 months of the current year, 8,4 thousand persons with disabilities were provided with rehabilitation aids.
