Today signifies seven years since the founding of the National Observatory on Labor Market and Social Protection Issues within the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.
Established by the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev dated July 4, 2019, the Observatory carries out monitoring, analysis, research and forecasting work that supports the adoption of effective management decisions in the fields of labor, employment, social protection and demography.
The organization regularly carries out surveys to pinpoint key employment sectors in the job market. Recently, surveys involving as many as 40 thousand participants were conducted, around 5 million data points were examined to assess the employment metrics of graduates, and over 300 thousand job openings were studied to evaluate labor market needs.
The Observatory's clear survey methods, dependable analytical samples, and training services received significant recognition from esteemed international organizations, earning 3 international awards in this area.
As the first institution in the South Caucasus to be certified to comply with the ISO 20252:2019 standard for its activities in the field of surveys and research, the Observatory has been awarded 6 international ISO certificates in different areas in recent years.
The National Observatory on Labor Market and Social Protection Issues has recently been recognized by the CPD Certification Service in the United Kingdom as an international training provider for five training programs.
