Social Indicators for 8 Months
From January to August of this year, the State Medical-Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population provided 94 thousand rehabilitation aids to persons with disabilities.
Among these, 5.6 thousand were wheelchairs (including 48 electric wheelchairs), 1.7 thousand were lower and upper limb prostheses, and 4.5 thousand were canes, crutches, and elbow crutches.
In addition, 7.1 thousand pairs of prostheses and orthopedic shoes, 347 hearing aids, 388 corsets, and other rehabilitation aids were provided to persons with disabilities.
During the first eight months of the year, 10.4 thousand persons with disabilities were supplied with rehabilitation aids.
