The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population had a meeting with the delegation led by the Minister of Economic Development of Hungary, Marton Nad, who was on a visit to our country.
Sahil Babayev, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, Co-Chairman of the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Governments of Azerbaijan and Hungary, Sahil Babayev, emphasized that with the political will and efforts of the heads of state of Azerbaijan and Hungary, the relations of the two countries have risen to the level of strategic partnership and are expanding year by year.
The significance of the cooperation documents signed in the development of relations was noted in the past period, and the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Hungary increased by 34.81 percent in 2022 compared to 2021. The activity of the Joint Commission on economic cooperation between the governments of the two countries, which serves to expand cooperation in various fields, was mentioned. The significance of business forums and business meetings held in both countries was noted.
Data was given on the reforms carried out in Azerbaijan in the social field, as well as in the field of labor and employment, active employment programs, e-services in the social field, including digital employment services. It was emphasized that the formation of active cooperation experience of the two countries can be mutually beneficial in these areas as well.
Marton Nad expressed his good impressions about his visit to our country and expressed his satisfaction that his country's bilateral relations are constantly developing based on friendly relations with Azerbaijan.
Issues of future cooperation in energy, promotion of mutual investments, increase of bilateral and transit cargo flows, agriculture, labor, employment, electronicization of social services and other issues were discussed between the two countries.
"Action Plan for 2023-2024 between the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Economic Development of Hungary" was signed at the meeting.
The document includes information on monitoring and forecasting of the labor market, application of national legislation on labor protection, regulation of labor relations, prevention of informal employment, expansion of employment opportunities for the unemployed and jobseekers, digitization of services, labor and employment in DOST centers, provision of services in other directions and exchange of best practices.
