As the next step in establishing the DOST services network in the territories liberated from occupation, a DOST service point of the Karabakh Regional DOST Center has begun operating in the city of Fuzuli.
Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Population Anar Aliyev, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the districts of Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavand Emin Huseynov, and First Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) Samir Humbatov reviewed the facilities created at the service point and the service delivery process.
Anar Aliyev emphasized that, in line with the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev, the DOST concept has become one of the key achievements of the social reforms implemented in recent years. He noted that, thanks to the DOST model initiated by First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, state social services in Fuzuli are now provided through a “single window” in a modern, efficient, transparent, and citizen-oriented manner.
The Minister gave instructions to ensure consistently high-quality service in the newly opened DOST service point, as well as to involve residents applying for employment assistance in active labour market programs.
In accordance with the Great Return Program, continuous efforts are being made to provide returning residents of liberated territories with access to DOST services. Notably, the “Smart DOST” service point was opened in the village of Aghali, Zangilan district in 2022; the Karabakh Regional DOST Center, serving residents of 10 districts and cities (Barda, Tartar, Aghjabadi, Aghdam, Fuzuli, Khojaly, Shusha, Khojavand, Aghdara, Khankendi), was launched in Barda in 2023; its Shusha branch opened in 2024; and a new DOST service point was established in Kalbajar this August.
The launch of the Fuzuli DOST service point marks the next step in this direction. The center was designed in a modern style, incorporating elements of mobility and functionality.
Here, employment services will also be provided, along with support services offered by KOBİA for the development of small and medium-sized businesses. The service point is expected to receive an average of up to 120 citizens per day.
