The “A Hug of Care” festival was held on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the launch of the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population.
The event, which also marked an anniversary, was organized to emphasize the importance of children growing up in a warm family environment.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population Hidayat Abdullayev provided information about the large-scale reforms implemented in the social sphere in recent years. He spoke about the attention and care shown by President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva to vulnerable population groups, especially children.
Member of Parliament Mehriban Valiyeva noted that social support measures play an important role in the integration of children into society. She noted the importance of such measures, in which children in need of special care are included.
Chairman of the Board of the Social Services Agency Vugar Behbudov brought to attention the work carried out by the institution in the past period to provide vulnerable population groups with social services and the projects it has implemented.
The aim of the “A Hug of Care” festival was to promote the integration of children covered by state care into society and to demonstrate their skills and talents. The event was attended by minor residents of various social service institutions of the Agency and other beneficiaries. They performed beautiful songs and dances.
Representatives of state institutions, non-governmental organizations, journalists, beneficiaries, as well as artists participated in the festival, which was remembered with interesting moments. The performances of People's Artist Faig Aghayev, singer Murad Arif and other artists added a special color to the event and increased the joy of the children.
An exhibition of the beneficiaries' handicrafts was organized within the framework of the festival, interactive corners, master classes were held. In the corners dedicated to various service areas of the Agency, detailed information was provided on the work done over the past 5 years and the services provided.
