A meeting was held at the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population in connection with the completion of the diplomatic mission of the UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan, Vladanka Andreeva.
Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Population Anar Aliyev emphasized that Azerbaijan attaches special importance to close and continuous partnership with the United Nations. He expressed his gratitude to Vladanka Andreeva for her valuable contributions to the development of this cooperation during her period of activity in the country.
Vladanka Andreeva expressed satisfaction with the continuous development of cooperation between UN agencies and the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population in the process of social reforms carried out in Azerbaijan and in providing support to socially vulnerable groups.
During the meeting, the importance of the Cooperation Framework Agreement on Sustainable Development between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the United Nations for 2026–2030 was highlighted.
Based on this document, an exchange of views was held on joint activities to be carried out in various fields of the Ministry’s work, especially in the areas of human capital development, promotion of decent work conditions, and strengthening of the social protection system.
