An infotour was organized for representatives of civil society institutions to the Paralympic Sports Complex of the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population.
The purpose of the event was to provide information about the social services rendered at the facility and the work carried out for the integration of beneficiaries into society, as well as to learn the opinions and proposals of NGOs related to this field.
The infotour participants familiarized themselves with the conditions created in the institution and the services provided here to people of different age groups.
It was reported that the complex organizes the involvement of persons with disabilities in sports, the development of their sports skills, preparation for various sports competitions, as well as their medical and social rehabilitation.
Beneficiaries here benefit from services in para-judo, para-powerlifting, para-swimming, archery, shooting, boccia, and other sports.
During the year, up to 350 persons have been covered by the relevant services at the complex. Currently, more than 200 persons with disabilities are benefiting from these services.
Based on a medical opinion, the institution admits persons with disabilities, war veterans, family members of martyrs, as well as persons without disabilities in order to ensure the integration of para-sports into able-bodied sports.
Questions of the infotour participants were also answered, and their opinions and suggestions were heard.
