A webinar titled “Digital Innovations in Social Protection and Employment” was held to promote the exchange of experience in digital transformation in the fields of social protection and employment among member states of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

The event was jointly organised by the Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC) and the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The webinar aimed to share best practices in applying digital technologies in social protection and employment systems and strengthen the exchange of knowledge and experience among OIC member states.

More than 100 specialists from OIC member states participated in the webinar. Employees of the Ministry gave presentations on Azerbaijan’s experience in digital transformation in the fields of social protection and employment.

Information was provided on the achievements in providing social services to citizens in a unified digital environment, integrating data and making services proactive.

The Ministry’s Centralized Electronic Information System, digital information systems in the fields of labour and employment, efforts to facilitate citizens’ access to social services through e-systems, and measures to provide services in a more flexible and transparent manner were highlighted.
