In accordance with the order of President Ilham Aliyev dated April 21, 2025, one-time financial assistance was provided to participants of the World War II (1941–1945) and other individuals specified in the order.
Pursuant to the order, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population was disbursed a one-time financial aid of 2500 manat to each living veteran of the World War II, in connection with the 80th anniversary of the Victory.
Additionally, a one-time financial assistance of 1250 manat was paid to each of the following categories: widows of soldiers who died or later passed away after serving in World War II; individuals awarded orders and medals for dedicated labour on the home front during the war; workers of special units who performed assignments in the interests of the army and navy within rear zones or operational areas of fighting fleets; recipients of medals and badges for the defense of Leningrad; and participants of the Siege of Leningrad.
The order covers a total of 2340 individuals from among World War II participants and other designated persons, with all payments transferred directly to their bank accounts.
