DOST Agency had a meeting with the delegation led by Mrs. Zehra Zumrüd Selchuk, Director General of Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Center of Islamic Countries (SESRIC) of the Islamic Labor Organization (ILO) visiting our country. The guests first got acquainted with the services provided to citizens at Baku DOST Center No. 1.
At the meeting, the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Sahil Babayev informed about the reforms and achievements in the field of labor and social protection in our country, the DOST concept, and the wide application of innovative solutions in the social field.
The significance of the activities of SESRIC in carrying out researches in the statistical, economic and social fields of OIC member countries, exchanging experiences and technical data was emphasized. It was stated that the Ministry attaches proper importance to collaboration with SESRIC, and the employees of the Ministry participate in conferences, seminars and trainings held by the institution on various topics. It was noted that the Labor Center, which will be established with the headquarters of the OIC in Baku, will contribute to the development of relations between the member countries of the Organization in the field of labor, employment, and social protection.
In our country, Zehra Zumrüd Selchuk expressed her positive opinion about the reforms in social fields, as well as the DOST model. He informed about the activities of the institution he heads, the programs implemented, and said that SESRIC will actively cooperate with the Labor Center of the OIC to be established in Baku.
At the meeting, issues of expanding cooperation in the fields of labor, employment, and social protection were discussed. The activity of the National Observatory on Labor Market and Social Protection Issues subordinated to the Ministry was mentioned. There was an exchange of views on future cooperation between the National Observatory and SESRIC.
Then, presentations were made for the delegation about the DOST concept and electronic systems and digital services created in the fields of labor, employment, and social protection.
