A delegation from the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population visited Ankara, Türkiye. The visit aimed to study the brotherly country’s experience in the field of compulsory health insurance.
The delegation met with Adnan Ertem, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Security of Türkiye. During the meeting, it was emphasized that the strong brotherly and friendly relations between the two countries also extend to the fields of labour and social protection.
Satisfaction was expressed with the continuous expansion of cooperation in this area, and the importance of productive exchanges of experience between the two ministries was highlighted.
The delegation also met with representatives of Türkiye’s Social Security Institution under the Ministry of Labour and Social Security. Yakup Koç, Director of Strategy Development at the Institution, noted that bilateral cooperation in the field of social security is mutually beneficial.
Sabir Gocayev, Head of the Compulsory Health Insurance Policy and Medical-Social Expertise Department of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, provided information on the reforms being implemented in Azerbaijan in the field of compulsory health insurance.
He emphasized that special importance had been attached to studying the experience of brotherly Türkiye throughout the reform process.
During the two-day visit, meetings included discussions and exchanges of experience on methodological approaches in health insurance, insurance coverage, services, pharmaceutical supply, and digitalization in the health insurance sector.
