As a result of reforms implemented in the field of disability, the number of diseases for which a treatment period is not required for disability assessment has increased significantly over the past two years.
Thus, according to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers dated May 11, 2024, the number of diseases allowing referral to medical-social expert examination without waiting for a treatment period has been increased from 5 to 73:

These diseases include pulmonary sarcoidosis, joint ankylosis, dementia, chronic kidney disease, diseases of the central nervous system characterised by demyelination, autism, many haematological diseases, diabetes in persons under 18 years of age, and others.
For these conditions, referrals for medical-social expert examination for disability assessment are formalised without waiting for a treatment period, and the assessment is conducted accordingly.
After referrals are issued electronically by medical institutions, they are entered into the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population’s “Disability” subsystem and anonymised. Decisions are then made transparently and objectively based solely on the diagnosis in the referral, without access to personal identity or the submitting medical institution.
