On October 8, a meeting was held at the territorial party organisation operating at the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, located at 85 S. Asgarova Street, to discuss issues arising from the speech delivered by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) Mr. Ilham Aliyev at the Party’s 8th Congress.

The meeting was attended by Bakhtiyar Nabiyev, Chairman of the YAP Yasamal District Organisation; Asif Asgarli, a member of the YAP Board of Directors; Rashad Mustafayev, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population; staff members of the YAP Yasamal District Organisation; and members of the territorial party organisation.

The meeting began with a minute of silence in memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Azerbaijan’s independence, territorial integrity and sovereignty. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was then performed.

During the meeting, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population Rashad Mustafayev, Chairman of the YAP Yasamal District Organisation Bakhtiyar Nabiyev, YAP Board member Asif Asgarli, and Head of a Department at the Ministry and Deputy Chair of the territorial party organisation Fazil Talibov, delivered speeches highlighting the importance of the strategic goals and objectives set by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and YAP Chairman Mr. Ilham Aliyev at the Party’s 8th Congress.

The speakers emphasized that the New Azerbaijan Party plays an active role in ensuring the consistent and purposeful policies implemented in the country, socio-political stability and socioeconomic development. They noted that the state policy pursued under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev has created broad opportunities to strengthen Azerbaijan’s international standing, reliably protect national interests and ensure the country’s sustainable development.

The speakers stressed that adherence to statehood traditions, prioritising national interests, serving citizens and showing care for them, and approaching assigned responsibilities with a strong sense of responsibility are essential principles guiding the activities of every YAP member. It was noted that the Party’s broad public support and close ties with the people are important factors in achieving its objectives.

Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of shaping the younger generation in accordance with national and moral values, the principles of statehood and a spirit of patriotism, as well as actively involving young people in science, education, modern innovation and public affairs.

Highlighting the full restoration of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and sovereignty as a major turning point in the country’s modern history, the speakers stressed the importance of accurately conveying these historic achievements to the younger generation.

The meeting also featured views and proposals on further improving the activities of the territorial party organisation, increasing the public engagement of party members, strengthening solidarity and ensuring the fulfilment of assigned tasks with a high degree of responsibility in the period ahead.

At the conclusion, the importance of continuing to support the political course pursued under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, actively participating in the implementation of the New Azerbaijan Party’s objectives and further strengthening the activities of the territorial party organisation was emphasized.
