In the post-war period, significant efforts have been undertaken to enhance rehabilitation services for veterans in Azerbaijan. Over 3,600 veterans have received rehabilitation support at the facilities operated by the Medical-Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population.
Substantial improvements have been made in the modernization and expansion of rehabilitation centers, as well as in their technological equipment. As a result, the quality of services has improved markedly. The number of individuals benefiting from these services annually has increased more than 10 times, and the number of rehabilitation aids provided to persons with disabilities has tripled.
Veterans with war-related disabilities have undergone regular recovery and treatment programs based on individualized rehabilitation plans and have benefited from effective physiotherapeutic procedures. These measures have contributed to noticeable improvements in their health and significant progress in their rehabilitation outcomes.
Furthermore, nearly 2,350 veterans have been provided with approximately 79,400 rehabilitation aids, including over 610 next-generation high-tech prosthetic devices supplied to around 500 veterans.
