Within the framework of the “Employment Support Project” implemented by the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population with financial support from the World Bank, a delegation consisting of representatives of the Ministry, the State Employment Agency under its authority, and the Project team paid a visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
As part of the visit, meetings were held with the Federal Employment Institute of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Sarajevo Canton Employment Service, the Sarajevo City Center Municipality, as well as the office of the “Employment Support Project” implementation team in the country.
Presentations were delivered on the active labour market measures implemented by the State Employment Agency, the achievements of recent reforms in the field of employment services in Azerbaijan, and the digital solutions applied in this area.
Information was provided on supporting the access of unemployed and job-seeking individuals to small businesses within the framework of the self-employment programme in Azerbaijan, as well as the important role of the “Employment Support Project” in this field and Azerbaijan’s positive experience in the implementation of the Project.
The meetings also discussed these topics, as well as future cooperation and the implementation of experience exchange initiatives in relevant areas of activity.
