Members of the families of martyrs from Türkiye, who are visiting Azerbaijan at the initiative of the “Zəfər” Public Union for Support to Families of Martyrs, as well as representatives of the Directorate General for Relatives of Martyrs and Veterans of the Ministry of Family and Social Services of Türkiye, visited the DOST Inclusive Development and Creativity Center operating under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The guests were informed about the conditions created and the work carried out at the Center to develop the creative potential of persons belonging to vulnerable categories. They viewed artistic works produced at the Center, observed the training process, and attended a concert program performed by the Center’s members.
During the meeting, Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, Fuad Musayev, spoke about the measures implemented under the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev to ensure social support for families of martyrs and war participants, noting that the related programs are being expanded year by year. It was emphasized that the DOST Inclusive Development and Creativity Center, established on the initiative of First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, plays an important role in the development of an inclusive society and provides significant support for improving the skills of family members of martyrs, persons with war-related disabilities, and their children, as well as other vulnerable groups.
Deputy Director of the Center, Matanat Mammadova, spoke about the activities carried out to support the social adaptation of persons belonging to vulnerable groups and the achievements attained in this field.
Chairperson of the “Zəfər” Public Union for Support to Families of Martyrs, Sevinj Orujova, stated that families of martyrs and citizens with war-related disabilities in Azerbaijan are surrounded by great care and attention from the state. She noted the importance of such meetings in terms of exchanging experience related to the social adaptation of families of martyrs and persons with war-related disabilities.
At the end of the meeting, a broad exchange of views was held on support mechanisms aimed at ensuring the social welfare of families of martyrs in both countries.
