Another inclusive project from the Ministry
The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population has implemented another inclusive project aimed at supporting people with hearing and speech disabilities.
For the first time in Azerbaijan, the State Medical-Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Agency under the Ministry has launched an online sign language interpretation service called “Let us be your voice” based on video communication for people with hearing and speech disabilities.
This service ensures the transmission of appeals from people with hearing and speech disabilities to a third party (state institutions, private sector, etc.), thus performing the function of a “virtual bridge” between these persons and parties who do not know sign language.
Thus, a citizen communicates with an operator via video call or message. The operator, acting as an interpreter, establishes contact with a third party in accordance with the direction of the appeal and creates online communication through sign language.
To benefit from the service, you can contact the phone number 055 213 19 97 via the “Whatsapp” or “Telegram” platform.
Citizens can benefit from the service 6 days a week (Monday - Saturday) from 9:00 to 16:00, except Sunday.
The Surdo translation service allows people with hearing and speech disabilities to convey their applications to the relevant parties in various directions correctly and conveniently.
The project aims to support an inclusive environment, eliminate barriers to social communication between people with hearing and speech disabilities and other members of society, and ensure information exchange.
