The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population continues to take measures to expand the range of medical services covered by the Benefits Package under compulsory health insurance.
The Ministry plans to include medicines used in the treatment of arterial hypertension in the compulsory health insurance coverage, subject to prescription, in 2027.
The Ministry has also included three new medical services in the Benefits Package for the renewal, replacement and adjustment of speech processors for individuals who have undergone cochlear implantation surgery.
Arrangements have been made to ensure that insured persons whose cochlear implantation surgery was not performed under compulsory health insurance can also benefit from these services.
When compulsory health insurance was first introduced, the Benefits Package covered 1,829 medical services. This figure has now reached 3,318, with the range of services covered by compulsory health insurance expanded to include specialised outpatient, laboratory, interventional radiology and inpatient services.
Taking into account the growing needs of the population, the annual insurance limits for cochlear implantation and intra-articular joint replacement surgeries have been abolished, while the annual limit for bone marrow transplantation has been increased 2.5-fold, from 20 to 50.
In addition, the tariffs for approximately 1,500 medical services included in the Benefits Package have been adjusted to reflect current market prices.
