The 38th Occupational Safety and Health Week is being held in Kayseri, organized by the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Turkey.
The main goal of the event is to expand international cooperation in the field of labour protection, increase public awareness, and strengthen education, especially among children and youth.
The head of the State Labour Inspectorate Service under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Vali Guliyev, also participated in the panel discussion dedicated to the topic "Occupational Safety and Health in the Digital Age: Best Practice Examples " organized within the framework of the week.
During the panel, Vali Guliyev provided extensive information on labour relations in our country, including the reforms implemented in the field of labour protection. He noted the significant achievements made in the direction of digitalizing labour relations in Azerbaijan, the electronicization of labour contracts, the establishment of digital control systems for the protection of labour rights, as well as labour protection.
He stated that these systems create opportunities for employers and employees to assess risks in advance and prevent them. This contributes to the protection of labor rights and the strengthening of preventive measures.
In his speech, the Head of the Service, who also touched upon the new challenges created by artificial intelligence, emphasized that digital solutions are being developed to manage the risks arising from the application of these technologies. The main goal is to increase safety in the workplace and enable citizens to apply for public services promptly and easily.
Interactive activity zones, trainings, theater performances and stage performances were also organized within the framework of the event, and the importance of a safe working environment was presented in a practical way with the participation of children and young people.
