An infotour was organized for a group of people disabled in the war and NGO representatives to the Prosthetic-Orthopedic Production and Rehabilitation Center of the State Medical-Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population.
The event aimed to provide NGOs with more detailed information about the work done in the field of providing rehabilitation equipment, as well as prosthetic products, and the projects implemented, and to study their opinions and suggestions in this area.
The participants of the infotour were informed that during the post-war period, 3600 war participants, their family members and members of the families of martyrs were provided with rehabilitation and socio-psychological services in the Agency's rehabilitation centers, and these services are continuing today.
Also, close cooperation was established with the world's leading companies in the field of prosthetics, Ottobock (Germany) and ÖSSUR (Iceland), and 493 servicemen were provided with 610 high-tech, latest-generation prosthetics.
The war participants expressed their satisfaction with the modern rehabilitation system established in our country, the reforms carried out in the field of disability, rehabilitation services and facilities for people with war-related disabilities, especially the work carried out in the field of providing them with latest-generation prosthetics.
