Handicrafts made at the DOST Center for Inclusive Development and Creativity were also presented at an exhibition held within the framework of the International Forum.
The delegation led by Asia Abdel Mutaleb Yaghin, a member of the Senate of Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Chair of the Committee for Persons with Disabilities, and Doualeh Said Mahamoud, the Executive Director of the National Agency for Persons with Disabilities of the Republic of Djibouti, visited the DOST Agency.
The guests visited the DOST Center No. 1 in Baku and got acquainted with the services provided to the public. They were also informed about the activities and working principles of the DOST centers.
During the meetings held with both delegations at the DOST Agency, Farid Mammadov, Chairman of the Agency's Board provided detailed information about DOST services. It was reported that over 3,4 million citizens have been served at DOST centers in the past period, with 98,5% citizen satisfaction. A presentation on the DOST concept was given, and cooperation prospects were discussed.
An exhibition of national handicraft samples was presented within the framework of the “Solidarity in Action: Strengthening Global South NGOs for a New and Fair World” Forum, organized by the Agency for State Support to NGOs and the Azerbaijan National NGO Forum, held at the Baku Congress Center.
The exhibition included a section showcasing handicrafts made at the DOST Center for Inclusive Development and Creativity. Conference participants, including leaders of prominent NGOs from 116 countries and representatives of civil society, viewed the handicrafts created by trainers and beneficiaries in the Center's training studios.
The exhibition featured examples of artistic embroidery and carving, visual arts, pottery, floristry, and carpet weaving.
