The State Employment Agency, operating under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population, organised a media tour to small businesses established under the self-employment programme for war veterans in Lachin district.

The media tour aimed to familiarise journalists with the measures being implemented to promote the employment of residents who have returned to the liberated territories, including war veterans and their family members.

Participants received information on the active labour market programmes implemented by the Agency for resettled residents of the liberated territories.

It was noted that employment has already been secured for 11,256 residents under these measures. Of these, 907 individuals established small businesses through the self-employment programme, while 558 people participated in vocational training courses.

Journalists first visited a beekeeping farm established under the self-employment programme for Lachin resident and war participant Shahin Isgandarov, followed by a car wash business established for Azer Garayev.

The media representatives also visited a fast-food outlet specialising in doner kebabs established for Ramin Hasanov, a family member of a war veteran.

The programme participants stated that, with state support, they had successfully established and continued to develop their businesses in their native homeland.
