The State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population organized a media tour to small farms established under the self-employment program in Lachin.
Held within the framework of the "Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty," the media tour aimed to provide media representatives with first-hand information about the measures implemented to ensure employment opportunities for residents, including the establishment of small farms, in the territories of our state that have fully restored their sovereignty and were liberated from occupation.
Participants were briefed on active employment programs implemented by the Agency for residents relocated to the liberated territories.
It was noted that, within these measures, employment has been provided for 5,420 of these residents. Of them, 422 individuals have established small farms under the self-employment program.
Additionally, 249 citizens who have returned to their native lands have been enrolled in vocational training courses aligned with labor market demands. Work is currently underway to secure employment for a further 621 residents relocated to the liberated areas.
The media representatives first visited the business premises of Namig Ahmadov, a resident of Sus village in Lachin, who, under the self-employment program, was provided with equipment under the "Men’s Barbershop" package to establish his own business.
They later visited workplaces created for Takhmina Abdullayeva, Reykhan Abdullayeva, and Altay Goshnalizade, residents of Lachin. T. Abdullayeva and R. Abdullayeva were provided with equipment under the "Small Tailoring Workshop" package, while A. Goshnalizade received assets for the "Mobile Coffee Houses" project.
The program participants expressed pride in working in their native lands and emphasized their continuous sense of the state's support. They conveyed their gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for the assistance provided in establishing their own businesses.
