The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population held a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Employment and Poverty Reduction of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Rano Turdiboyeva, who is on a visit to our country.
Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population Vusal Nasirli stated that relations between the brotherly countries of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan are constantly developing. It was emphasized that relations between the two countries have entered a new stage of development thanks to the efforts of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The special importance of the "Agreement on the Establishment of the Supreme Interstate Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Uzbekistan", signed by both heads of state in August 2023, in ensuring the dynamic development of strategic partnership was noted.
Information was provided on the reforms carried out in Azerbaijan in recent years in the fields of labour and employment, social protection, the DOST concept, and the successes achieved in the direction of the electronicization of state social services.
The meeting noted that relations between our countries in the social sphere are also constantly expanding, and discussed the importance of mutual exchange of experience in the reform process. Future cooperation issues in the fields of labour and employment were discussed.
Also, views were exchanged on the implementation of exchange of experience in active employment programs, digitalization of employment services, vocational training for young people and vulnerable groups of the population, etc., and the organization of joint seminars and round tables.
