A meeting was held at the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population with the delegation led by Sevim Sayım Madak, the Deputy Minister of Family and Social Services of the Republic of Türkiye.
The Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population Anar Aliyev, highlighted that the brotherly relations between the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Türkiye, Ilham Aliyev and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, based on mutual respect and trust, as well as active political dialogue, form the foundation for strengthening cooperation in all areas between the two countries.
It was emphasized that relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye have reached an alliance level, and cooperation in the fields of labour and social protection continues to expand. It was pointed out that in the past period, 8 agreements were signed between the two countries in this field. Achievements in recent years in the social reforms in Azerbaijan, including the DOST concept and the widespread application of digital solutions in the social sphere, were also mentioned.
The work being done in the areas of social services, adoption, and foster family systems in Azerbaijan was discussed. It was highlighted that there is active cooperation between the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population and Ministry of Family and Social Services of the Republic of Türkiye in these areas. The importance of the Memorandum of Cooperation signed between the two Ministries in recent years, as well as the Action Plan for its implementation, was emphasized.
Sevim Sayım Madak expressed satisfaction with the expanding bilateral cooperation year by year and stated that efforts to further develop the relationship will continue in the coming period. The perspectives for future cooperation between the two institutions were discussed during the meeting.
Presentations were also made for the delegation on topics such as "Policies and Services for Persons with Disabilities", "Ensuring Accessibility for Persons with Disabilities", and "Participation in Social Life and Employment of Persons with Disabilities".
The Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population Hidayat Abdullayev, highlighted the efforts being made in Azerbaijan for the social protection and rehabilitation of persons with disabilities and the increasing opportunities for their integration into society.
During the meeting, discussions and exchanges of experience were held on the mentioned topics.
