Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population Anar Aliyev met with newly elected members of the Public Council under the Ministry.
He brought to attention the social reforms carried out in the fields of labour, employment and social protection based on the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev. The Minister stated that ensuring public participation in the process of these reforms, as well as in the improvement of social legislation, is always in focus.
Anar Aliyev noted the importance of joint activities of the members of the Public Council in this direction, as well as active cooperation with other civil society institutions.
It was noted that broad conditions are always created for the activities of the Public Council under the Ministry, and the opinions and suggestions of the council members are always carefully approached and taken into account. The importance of activities in this area in strengthening transparency and accountability, in more advanced preparation of drafts of services and relevant normative-legal acts was discussed.
The work done by the Public Council in the previous composition over the past two years was positively assessed, and confidence was expressed that the activities of the Council in the new composition would also be effective and purposeful.
The Council members spoke with satisfaction about the Ministry's special importance given to cooperation with civil society institutions in the process of social reforms and the creation of conditions for the activities of the Public Council.
The Public Council, which began its activities in a new composition of 9 people, also held its first meeting.
At the meeting, Elshad Mammadov, Deputy Chairman of the "Umman" Public Union Care for Children with Disabilities, was elected as the Chairman of the Council, Bahruz Mammadzade, Chairman of the "Veterans of Special Purposes, Martyr Families and Veterans" Public Union, was elected as the Deputy Chairman of the Council, and Ramila Mahmudova, Chairman of the "Support for Persons with Disabilities for an Inclusive Society" Public Union, was elected as the Secretary of the Council.
