More than 100 individuals from vulnerable groups have benefited from social services at the Social Service Centre of the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population, which began operating in the Guzanli settlement of Aghdam in August last year.
The Centre provides social rehabilitation services to children with disabilities, individuals subjected to various forms of violence, persons in need of social services, and repatriated individuals.
Children requiring special care receive psychological, pedagogical, speech therapy, and active therapy services. Various activities are also organized to ensure the effective use of their leisure time and support their social adaptation. Parents of these children participate in training sessions and group therapies aimed at improving parenting skills.
The Agency currently operates five social service centres across the country (Absheron, Sabunchu, Narimanov, Yasamal, and Aghdam) and one social service office in the city of Sumgayit. Individuals wishing to benefit from these services may apply to the Social Services Agency or its relevant branches.
