The Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population is currently providing home-based (mobile) social and household services to 3,244 individuals across the country.
Nearly 3,000 of them are elderly persons, while the others are individuals with disabilities. Of those receiving services, 2,493 are women and 751 are men.
Social workers visit the homes of lonely elderly people and persons with disabilities twice a week to assist them with household tasks, the purchase of basic necessities, and similar needs. In addition, social specialists provide support in legal documentation and the organization of social protection measures.
