During the first half of the year, the Social Services Agency and the DOST Agency, operating under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population, provided mobile home-based social services to 4,409 individuals.
Of these, 4,075 were elderly persons living alone, while 334 were persons with disabilities.
Social care workers provided assistance with daily care and household needs, meal preparation, personal hygiene, shopping, and the management of utility-related matters.
These services are available to elderly persons living alone and persons with disabilities living alone who require social support and whose able-bodied relatives or legal representatives do not reside within the same administrative area in Baku or within the same administrative district in other cities and regions.
