By order of the Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Population, Anar Aliyev, Hasil Vasif oglu Abbasov has been appointed as Chairperson of the Board of the State Employment Agency under the Ministry.
Hasil Abbasov was born in 1985. In 2003–2007, he obtained a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Azerbaijan University of Languages. Within the framework of the State Programme on Education of Youth Abroad, he completed his master’s degree in International Relations at Macquarie University (Australia) in 2008–2010.
In 2012–2014, he worked on joint projects with the World Bank; in 2014–2019, he held various positions in the private sector. Since 2019, he has worked at the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population as Head of Sector, Director of the ASAN Innovative Development Center, and Deputy Chairperson of the Board of the National Observatory on Labour Market and Social Protection Issues.
From October 2024 until his current appointment, he served as Deputy Chairperson of the Board of the State Employment Agency.
It should be noted that the former Chairperson of the Board of the State Employment Agency, Sadiq Jabir oglu Aliyev, was dismissed from his position upon his request in connection with his intention to pursue activities in another field.
