New Social Service Center under the Social Services Agency, operating within the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, has officially commenced operations.
Located in the Guzanli, Aghdam, the center is equipped with specialized equipment and materials and is expected to serve up to 50 children per month.
The center provides psychological, pedagogical, speech therapy, and active therapy services to children with disabilities as well as those from other vulnerable groups, delivered by professional specialists.
It is planned that children will benefit from both individual and group-based social rehabilitation services, while their parents will participate in training sessions aimed at enhancing parenting skills related to their children’s development and care.
Currently, the Social Services Agency operates five social service centers across the country—in Absheron, Sabunchu, Narimanov, Yasamal, and Aghdam—as well as one social service office in Sumgayit city.
To date, 1,059 individuals have received socio-psychological rehabilitation services through these centers, and currently, 239 individuals are benefiting from ongoing services.
