The “PeşəFest” organized by the State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population was held this time in Aghdam.
Organized under the motto “Learn a profession, build your future!”, the festival aims to support young people and students in choosing a profession and taking the right steps in their career path.
The event was attended by the Head of Aghdam Executive Authority Vagif Hasanov, Chairman of the Management Board of the State Employment Agency Sadiq Aliyev, officials from public and private institutions of Aghdam and surrounding districts, and representatives of the public.
In his speech at the opening ceremony, V. Hasanov emphasized the special role of “PeşəFest” in introducing professions in demand in the labour market to young people and teenagers, and highlighted the importance of regularly holding such events.
S. Aliyev pointed out that the purpose of “PeşəFest” is to ensure that young people are informed and make the right choice of profession, which will not only shape their future but also support the balanced development of the labour market.
Professionals then made presentations in line with their specialties, explaining the features of their professions. They shared recommendations on career choices with festival participants and answered questions from teenagers and their parents.
Beneficiaries of the Karabakh “DOST House” branch of the DOST Inclusive Development and Creativity Center under the Ministry also took part in the festival, presenting musical performances.

At “PeşəFest,” informative sessions are held on 14 professions (cybersecurity, data analytics, helpdesk, 3D animator, jewellery designer, tourism organizer, carpenter, automotive repair locksmith, food engineer, confectioner, lifeguard, barista, dental technician, and veterinarian).
Festival participants gain useful knowledge on ways to develop in these professions, required skills, and career selection, while also having the opportunity to communicate with specialists.
