The next meeting of the “Labour Market” working group, part of the Commission on Business Environment and International Ratings and led by the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population has taken place.

The meeting was attended by the head of the working group and Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population Zaur Aliyev, the head of the Commission’s Secretariat and sector head at the Presidential Administration, Vusal Shikhaliyev, and representatives from government and non-governmental organizations participating in the working group.

Presentations were delivered regarding the final editions of the Index of Economic Freedom and the Global Talent Competitiveness Index, both of which are included in the working group’s Action Plan. Information was provided on the labour market-related indicators within these indices and the country's performance metrics.

Discussions at the meeting focused on the work undertaken and future tasks regarding labour market development, the improvement of labour legislation, the enhancement of workforce skills, and the further expansion of employment opportunities.
