In the current year, the State Medical-Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population provided home-based rehabilitation services to 1,628 persons with disabilities.
These services include medical and psychological examinations, speech therapy sessions, therapeutic massage, remedial physical training, and occupational therapy.
Mobile rehabilitation services are available to persons with disabilities who have difficulty leaving their residence. To access the services, the individual (or their legal representative) contacts the Ministry’s “142” Call Centre, DOST centres, or the relevant Territorial Medical-Social Expert Commission.
Based on the request, a mobile team of doctors and psychologists from the relevant rehabilitation centre visits the individual’s residence to conduct initial assessments. If the person’s condition matches the diagnosed needs, a personalised plan is developed, and rehabilitation services are provided at the residence for the specified period.
