Residents of the Social service institution for the elderly of the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population will once again participate in the third international “Challenge” tournament “Gymnastics for All” to be held in Baku.
Intensive training is organized by specialists for the residents of the institution who will participate in the competition. During the training, they perform various dances, flash mob performances and simple acrobatic movements.
The trainings, which are conducted in order for the elderly to prepare for the program and distinguish themselves in the tournament, are conducted by USSR Master of Sports Rana Manafova. The elderly, who have been participating in the competition for several years now, will be represented in the tournament this time with a team of 10 people.
It should be noted that 54 teams from 5 different countries will take part in the “Challenge” to be held on June 28-29 in the Seaside National Park. Participants will perform in programs in two age categories (under 50 and over 50). The event will consist of master classes, colorful performances by teams, and entertainment programs.
The goal of the tournament is to increase the physical activity of older people, support their integration into social life, and promote a healthy lifestyle.
