Within the framework of the “RehaBus” (Rehabilitation Bus) project, implemented since 2022 by the State Medical-Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, services have been provided to 2.1 thousand persons with disabilities.
The project aims to improve access for persons with disabilities living in Baku and surrounding areas to outpatient and community-based rehabilitation services, ensuring their convenient and easy transportation to the relevant rehabilitation institutions.
Rehabilitation buses pick up children with disabilities (together with their accompanying relatives) from pre-designated waiting points in Baku, Sumgayit, and the Absheron and transport them to the No. 2 Child Rehabilitation Center in Baku.
Upon completion of the rehabilitation procedures, they are transported back to their original locations.
