In accordance with the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev, the Sub-Working Group on Inclusive Social Development and Social Protection, established under the Cabinet of Ministers to prepare the “Social-Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2027–2030,” held its next meeting.
The head of the working group, Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population Anar Aliyev, highlighted the significant steps taken to ensure citizens’ welfare in the country. He presented the work carried out and the achievements attained under the National Priority “A Dynamic, Inclusive, and Socially Just Society,” which is one of the “Azerbaijan 2030: National Priorities for Social-Economic Development” approved by presidential decree.
It was noted that between 2018 and 2025, five social reform packages were implemented, with substantial increases in salaries, pensions, and other social payments. Achievements in strengthening social protection, developing an inclusive society, advancing the rehabilitation and social services system, and expanding active employment programs were highlighted. The widespread implementation of digital solutions in labor, employment, and social protection sectors was also emphasized.
It was underlined that continuing the social achievements and measures aimed at the development of an inclusive society in line with the National Priority “A Dynamic, Inclusive, and Socially Just Society” will remain a key focus in the new social-economic development Strategy.
During the meeting, the Sub-Working Group discussed the work carried out on preparing the Strategy draft, the upcoming tasks, and the proposed recommendations.
