The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population held a meeting with the head of the Greek delegation, Sofia Vultepsi, who was visiting our country to participate in the meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization in Baku.
The meeting was also attended by Musa Guliyev, Chairman of the Labour and Social Policy Committee of the Milli Majlis, member of the Azerbaijani delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization.
Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population Anar Bayramov informed Sofia Vultepsi about the successive social reforms carried out in our country in recent years. As a result of these reforms, social payments have been significantly increased, and the advantages of the DOST concept were noted. The achievements in the direction of the electronicization of state social services and the creation of proactive services were brought to attention.
The measures taken to support the social well-being of persons with disabilities and other vulnerable population groups, as well as low-income families, and the development of an inclusive society were discussed.
Important steps taken in improving the legislation in the field of labour and social protection in line with progressive international practice were brought to attention. It was emphasized that the work done in this direction, as well as the social reforms carried out in our country in recent years, are also highly appreciated at the international level.
The meeting continued with an exchange of views on the social reforms carried out and cooperation issues.
