The State Labour Inspection Service under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population has conducted further awareness-raising activities aimed at ensuring healthy and safe working conditions in workplaces.

A total of 25 awareness-raising activities organised in Khankendi, Shusha, Khojaly, Kalbajar and Lachin covered 82 enterprises. Nearly 700 people, including representatives of employers and employees, participated in the activities.

The awareness-raising activities were held with the participation of employees of the Service, the State Employment Agency, the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Small and Medium Business Development Agency and the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation.

During the activities, participants were provided with detailed information on the requirements of legislation in the field of occupational safety, the creation of healthy and safe working conditions, the identification of existing workplace risks and measures to prevent them.

At the same time, attention was drawn to state standards applied in the field of occupational safety, the formation of a safety culture in workplaces, the protection of employees’ health and measures to prevent workplace accidents.

Within the framework of the awareness-raising activities, participants’ questions on the subject were answered, and they were provided with occupational safety information booklets, brochures and other informational materials.
