The next meeting of the Trilateral Commission on Social and Economic Issues, which is represented by the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ASK) and the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (ATUC), was held.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population Rashad Mustafayev, First Deputy Chairman of the ATUC Ilyas Aliyev, Vice President of the ASK Vugar Zeynalov, and members of the Commission from all three organizations.
Opening the meeting with an introductory speech, V.Zeynalov brought to attention the issues on the agenda and presented the candidates nominated for the re-formation of the Commission.
By the vote of the meeting participants, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population Rashad Mustafayev, Advisor to the Chairman of the ATUC Nurana Ibadova, Advisor to the Chairman of the ATUC Jamaladdin Guliyev and Head of the Department of Labour and Socio-Economic Rights Protection of the ATUC Tural Suleymanov were elected members of the Commission.
The meeting discussed the establishment of a Working Group to prepare a draft Law “On Employers and Entrepreneurs’ Associations”, the formation of a permanent Working Group to study the possibilities of ratification of the Conventions and Protocols of the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the implementation and application of their requirements, the expansion of the scope of the “Social Partner” project, which is used by persons receiving pensions, benefits, stipends, targeted social assistance and compensation from the State Social Protection Fund under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, and the increase in the number of partner companies in order to increase citizen satisfaction, the establishment of a Working Group to study the possibilities of ratification of ILO Convention No. 184, etc.
