Within the framework of a joint action plan between the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population and the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice, meetings with inmates whose sentences are nearing completion continue to be held in correctional institutions.
This time, meetings were held with another 127 inmates nearing the end of their sentences in penitentiary institutions No. 1, 10, 11, and 15. During the meetings, detailed information was provided about the Agency’s areas of activity and social adaptation measures for individuals released from correctional institutions.
Questions of interest to the inmates were answered, and assessments were conducted to involve them in social adaptation measures after their release.
It should be noted that the Agency’s staff also visit the families of individuals released from penitentiary institutions in order to support their social rehabilitation. Their needs are reassessed, and appropriate social-psychological, social-legal, and advisory assistance is provided to support their social adaptation.
