Social indicators for the First 9 Months

In January–September this year, the State Social Protection Fund under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population paid 1.692 billion AZN in allowances and monthly Presidential benefits to 1.129 million people.

Of these:

·         951 million AZN was paid to 521,000 people in allowances;

·         609 million AZN was paid to 408,000 people in Presidential benefits;

·         132 million AZN was paid to 200,000 people in allowances through social insurance.

The amounts paid were 10% higher for allowances, 11% higher for benefits, and 4% higher for allowances through social insurance compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.

During the first nine months of this year, a further 110,000 allowance and benefit assignments were made proactively through the e-system. Since 2019, when electronic assignment of social payments began, a total of 990,000 benefits and allowances have been assigned proactively through the system.
